What is Pixieset?
What is Pixieset? Pixieset is a multi-use platform for photographers that gives them the tools needed for photo delivery and print sales, to website needs, contracts, invoices, questionnaires, and payment collection. By using Pixieset for my client galleries, I am able to deliver personalized galleries to my clients where they can proof, download and purchase their images.
Why you shouldn't screenshot your images.
LET'S UNDERSTAND
Trust me, I know how it is. You finally get the gallery you've been waiting days for or maybe even weeks. You fall in love with the photos instantly and want to show them to friends and family, maybe even share them on social media. You decide that the best method to do so is to take a screenshot and crop the image to size. Well, I'm here to tell you that screenshotting your professional photographs is NEVER a good alternative and that this isn't the best way to share and view your images on your device. Here's why.
When taking a screenshot of a professional image, the screenshot may have a lower resolution than the original due to the limitations of the screen or device. This can lead to a loss of detail or clarity in the image. Photography is an investment, therefore it's important that you get what you paid for. Do yourself a favor and download your images the correct way to receive high-quality images that not only you will enjoy, but ones that everyone will love!
How to download your gallery.
All aT ONCE
Gallery downloads provide the entire Collection as a single download. This can be delivered either as a .ZIP file or by using a cloud-based service like Google Photos or Dropbox. If you choose to download directly to your device, a direct download link will be sent to the email address you provide so that you do not need to wait on the same page while the download link is generated.
For .ZIP downloads, the file will be delivered to your device, and from there you can extract the image files. How to do this will vary depending on your device.
To initiate a gallery download, you can:
- Click the more menu (the three dots) and select Download
- Enter your email address and the download PIN (if required)
- Select from the available Sets to download and choose the preferred resolution
- Choose the download location
How to download single photos.
One at a time
Single photo downloads allow you to download individual photos from the Collection. These files can be downloaded directly to your device, by using a cloud-based service like Google Photos or Dropbox. You may need to enter your email address and download PIN to initiate the first download. You will not be required to re-enter this information for subsequent single photo downloads.
To initiate a photo download, you can:
- Open any photo in the enlarged view and click the Download icon
- For the first download, enter your email address and the download PIN (if required)
- Select the preferred resolution
- Choose the download location
- A new window with the photo will open. Press and hold the photo for the option to save
